Health and Social Care (Adults)
This NVQ covers all the practical ancillary tasks as well as generic skills and knowledge required such as health and safety, customer service and team working. It provides nationally recognised certification of competence to anyone carrying out these roles.

- Senior carers within any care setting
- Domiciliary care workers
- Healthcare assistants and team leaders
Mandatory Units
The candidate is required to complete all three mandatory core units and one specialist unit.- HSC31 Promote effective communication for and about individuals
- HSC32 Promote, monitor and maintain health, safety and security in the working environment
- HSC33 Reflect on and develop your practice
- HSC35 Promote choice, well being and the protection of all individuals
Specialist Unit
Course Completion
To gain the full NVQ all THREE mandatory core units plus ONE specialist core unit and FOUR optional adult units from a choice of over 50, must be achieved.
