This NVQ reflects the most up-to-date thinking on the role of the team leader. The qualification gives the candidate formal recognition of their performance in the work place and assesses the knowledge and understanding of the key areas of team leading. The programme will enhance personal growth and development required to succeed in the business environment.

Mandatory Units

The candidate is required to complete all four mandatory units.

• A1 Manage your own resources
• B5 Provide leadership for your team
• D1 Develop productive working relationships with colleagues
• E5 Ensure your own action reduce risks to health and safety

Optional Units

The candidate is required to complete two optional units.

• C1 Encourage innovation in your team
• D5 Allocate and check work in your team
• D7 Provide learning opportunities for colleagues
• F5 Resolve customer service problems
• F7 Support customer service improvements

Course Completion

To gain the full NVQ FOUR mandatory units and TWO optional units must be achieved.
